out of all of the things that can be seen in the pine-lake mountain range, pine-lake is the one which makes the best impression in most of the travelers' minds. in this place, the trees thin and begin to scatter, growing further and further apart as the venture to pine-lake continues. pine-lake is a large, crystalline lake which is known for the special aura it is given. somehow, it never freezes when the winter time comes or all year round, for that matter. how it is done, nobody knows to this date. the freezing water glimmers as the sun's rays dance against its surface, penetrating it to reveal an array of small minnows that swim its waters.

the slopes.

this land is lovingly referred to as "the slopes" by most creatures who dare inhabit it. the slopes are a dangerous place, prone to avalanches and rock-slides. those who dare reside in this place have given it a more dastardly ring-- "the dead lands."

it has gained this name for two reasons: the number of lives that have been lost here and the significant lack of plant-life. dead trees are common-place in the slopes, either vaulted to the ground by falling rocks and snow or dead by a lack of nutrients. the grass is a dull, ugly brown color and the lack of flowers is clear here.

pine-lake mountain range.

this vast region consists of many hilly areas and mountain ranges-- this region is cold, the lakes and watering-holes that reside closer to the bottom of the mountains almost always frozen over while what water dares to flow atop of the mountain's summit is frozen solid.

this vast area spans of a mountain range, named of the pine-lake mountains. it is a long, narrow strip of mountains and hilly areas covered in dark, coniferous pines.
